Code of Conduct
Guidelines for creating a positive and welcoming environment
By becoming a member, you agree to follow these guidelines. We believe that clear expectations and mutual respect create the best possible community for pinball enthusiasts.
Conduct Guidelines
- Treat all pinball machines with care and respect
- Do not intentionally damage or abuse any equipment
- Report any issues or malfunctions immediately to staff or board members
- Follow proper game operation procedures
- Do not attempt repairs unless specifically authorized
- Keep food and drinks away from machines unless in designated areas
- Be mindful of alcohol consumption - know your limits
- Do not arrive at the club already intoxicated
- If you've had too much to drink, arrange for safe transportation home
- Respect others' comfort levels with alcohol consumption
- Follow all local laws regarding alcohol consumption
- Be kind and respectful to all members, guests, and staff
- Use clear, respectful language when communicating
- Listen actively and consider others' perspectives
- Avoid aggressive or confrontational behavior
- Respect personal boundaries and space
- Be patient with new members and guests
- Welcome prospective members warmly and professionally
- Answer questions about the club honestly and accurately
- Show enthusiasm for pinball and the club community
- Be patient with newcomers who may not know all the rules
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship during games with guests
- Help create a positive first impression of the club
- We welcome all constructive criticism and comments
- Members are encouraged to voice opinions privately or publicly
- No member will be punished for respectfully expressing their views
- Board members are open to feedback and suggestions
- Concerns can be raised through multiple channels
- We commit to addressing feedback in a timely manner
- Do not attempt repairs unless specifically authorized
- Report all issues immediately to staff or board members
- Only authorized members may perform solo repairs
- Follow all safety protocols when working on equipment
- Document all repairs and maintenance performed
- Use only approved parts and materials for repairs
Core Principles
We believe in progressive enforcement that focuses on education and improvement. Our goal is to maintain a positive environment while giving members opportunities to learn and grow.
Enforcement Process:
- Minor violations will typically result in a friendly reminder
- Repeated violations may lead to a formal warning
- Serious violations could result in temporary suspension
- Extreme cases may lead to membership termination
- All enforcement actions will be fair, consistent, and documented
- Members have the right to appeal any enforcement action
If you witness a violation:
- • Approach the person calmly if safe to do so
- • Report to a board member or staff
- • Provide specific details about what occurred
- • Include date, time, and any witnesses
If you're involved in a conflict:
- • Step away from the situation if needed
- • Contact a board member privately
- • Be honest about your role in the situation
- • Be open to mediation if appropriate
