Board Positions & Responsibilities
President

Chief executive officer and primary spokesperson

Primary Duties:

  • Lead board meetings and general membership meetings
  • Represent the club in external communications
  • Oversee strategic planning and goal setting
  • Appoint committee chairs with board approval
  • Serve as primary contact for legal and regulatory matters

Requirements: Must be a member in good standing for at least 6 months

Vice President

Second-in-command and succession planning

Primary Duties:

  • Assist president in all duties
  • Preside over meetings in president's absence
  • Oversee committee activities and coordination
  • Lead special projects as assigned
  • Prepare for presidential succession

Requirements: Must be a member in good standing for at least 6 months

Secretary

Record keeper and communications coordinator

Primary Duties:

  • Record and maintain meeting minutes
  • Manage official club correspondence
  • Maintain membership records and bylaws
  • Coordinate board communications
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements

Requirements: Must be a member in good standing for at least 3 months

Treasurer

Financial oversight and budget management

Primary Duties:

  • Manage club finances and banking
  • Prepare and present financial reports
  • Oversee dues collection and tracking
  • Maintain financial records and receipts
  • Coordinate with accountant for tax filings

Requirements: Must be a member in good standing for at least 3 months

Membership Chair

Member recruitment and retention

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee membership application process
  • Coordinate new member orientation
  • Manage member benefits and communications
  • Track membership statistics and trends
  • Develop member retention strategies

Events Chair

Tournament and social event coordination

Primary Duties:

  • Plan and coordinate tournaments

Facilities Chair

Club space and equipment management

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee facility maintenance and improvements
  • Manage pinball machine inventory
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure safety and compliance standards
  • Plan facility expansion and upgrades

Governance Structure

Election Process

Board members are elected by the membership at annual meetings
